Billboard Music Awards "Trump" Celebrity Apprentice

In sharing alike with the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, this past Sunday night churned out some winners and losers in ratings war.

The rambunctious awards show scored its highest ratings since 2003 with 7.9 million viewers. In particular it scored very high with a 76% in the adults 18-34 demographic trumping the season finale of Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice by 7% in that same category. The Billboards scored 28% above its most recent ratings high in 2006.

Although the Billboard Music Awards scored over Trump’s towering success of a show, the Billboards got (censored) slapped by Peter Griffin and the gang via Fox’s Family Guy. The season finale was the ratings winner of the evening.

Unfortunately, The Simpsons was nowhere in sight on the top shows. D’oh!

The Billboard Music Awards showcased some of today’s greatest musical talents like Beyonce, Keith Urban and Cee Lo Green. Unfortunately, it also showcased some of live music’s best lip-syncing from Britney Spears who was careful not to tire herself out that night. Eminem and Justin Bieber were unsurprisingly the biggest winners of the evening.
