One need not watch all 19 episodes of Blue Murder to get a feel for the series, but it is terribly addicting. Snowed in, we watched them over the course of one weekend, quickly becoming acquainted with characters we wouldn’t mind knowing in real life (whatever that is). The cases are interesting, often intriguing, and we weren’t always able to solve them before Detective Lewis and her team. Despite our disdain for police shows that insist on bringing in the soap opera aspects of their characters, we thoroughly enjoyed DCI Lewis and her brood—an authentically written family facing challenges with which many families can identify.

Bottom Line: Would I buy/rent/stream Blue Murder: Complete Collection? Absolutely; it is well worth the twenty-or-so hours we invested in it.
