Dear Simon: Nicole’s Gotta Go!

Let’s just cut right to the chase shall we?
Last night’s X Factor was a hot mess. Rachel Crow was clearly the better singer and Marcus Canty, who has been in the bottom so many times it’s ridiculous, is a hit or miss vocally.
All Nicole Scherzinger had to do was deliver the final blow that would have sent Marcus home. Instead she decided that she couldn’t bear to send either one home and flaked out on her duties as a judge and so the show went into a deadlock.
Well…you know the rest.
The X Factor U.S. had a promising start but has clearly disintegrated into an over-produced bombastic mess where instead of the focus being about finding the next talented singer, frustrated fans are forced to watch a bunch of egos bickering and fighting with no concern at all for the young (and older) hopefuls who are looking for their shot at a better life and a career in music.
You have L.A. Reid who’s only there to brag about his many musical accomplishments, Paula who’s toned down the crazy but is ever the annoying cheerleader, Simon being snarkier than ever and then there’s Nicole.
Nicole, who’s biggest claim to fame is fronting the Pussycat Dolls who, let’s face it, are more known for their booty-popping techniques than their singing.
She adds nothing to the show except to bicker with Simon and she can’t even do that well. How can she judge a show about singing or offer any tips when her vocals are clearly lacking?
There have been rumors that Simon wants to replace Nicole with Kelly Rowland who is currently a judge on the UK version of X Factor.
I say go for it! At least she can sing and adds real value to the competition and most importantly, is not afraid to make the tough calls without turning into a overly dramatic, slobbering mess.
And while we're getting rid of people can we finally get rid of Chris Rene? I mean let's face it, if it weren't for his sob story he would be long gone by now.
