Filipino Pride Charice Back on Glee
Tuesday, April 19 marks the resumption of the Fox primetime hit, Glee. On the next episode, entitled “A Night of Neglect,” the kids of Glee Club help out another club of “outsiders” from McKinley High by mounting a show for them. As usual, Sue Sylvester is not too happy about this partnership that she rounds up her minions, Terri, Will's ex-wife; Sandy Ryerson, former Glee Club coach; and Dustin Goolsby, coach of Vocal Adrenaline. As Sue's “League of Doom,” they try their best to sabotage the efforts of the Glee Club.
Making a big comeback on Glee is Charice, who has so far only appeared on the first episode of the second season as Sunshine Corazon. The pride of the Philippines, who rose to fame after Ellen DeGeneres showed a clip of her singing on Korean television, did a powerful rendition of “All By Myself” by Eric Carmen in an effort to get into McKinley High's Glee Club again after defecting to Vocal Adrenaline. The Glee kids were suspicious of her action, as it can be remembered that Jesse St. James of Vocal Adrenaline from last season turned out to be a spy.
Gwyneth Paltrow as Holly Holliday and Cheyenne Jackson as Dustin Goolsby also reprise their roles on this episode airing Tuesday, April 19 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
