GETTING HOUSED: Matt Hangs in There on Big Brother
I’ve always enjoyed how the end of each recap at the beginning of the episode was someone in the house saying something silly. Sunday night it was Rachel saying, “I knew he was going to do that.” I assume this is about Matt, who was the best player last week. At this point, production already knew that after avoiding eviction, Matt was the new HoH. Well done.
The reason Brendel backed Matt instead of Monet was to stay in line with the house, which actually makes a lot of sense. They still have a huge target on their backs, due mostly to the fact that now they have to make out in public — outside of the privacy of the HoH room.
Kathy claimed, in a diary session, that she threw the competition to keep sliding under the radar. This is part of what I like about the show: in a private moment, it is absolutely possible someone will still lie - to themselves and to viewers who don‘t affect their lives at all. Really Kathy? It’s OK to just be terrible at the game. I would be.
It’s also OK that Brendon pronounces it “worst case scen-aw-rio.” It adds to his overall douchiness, which is at about an 8.75/10.
So the Brigade is in power, but it looks like Hayden may be distracted by her… assets. The boys clearly believe they are related, and NOT hooking up, but BB juxtaposed this with night vision kissing. That would be the greatest part of being an editor: hearing someone say something and knowing that you have three hours of footage showing how far off the mark they are. Proving people wrong; that’s the name of my game.
And being a hilarious bitch is still the name of BritnEye’s game, even without Monet. She and Enzo were having a good time, as I had hoped, but the best part of the episode was when she and Lane role-played what Brendel were saying outside. I haven’t hidden my feelings for Lane and Brit, and I certainly haven’t hidden my feelings for Brendel, so my head almost exploded when both worlds collided into each other.Continued on the next page
