The 9th season of NBC's the Biggest Loser will begin on January 5, 2010.This season is notable for having the largest contestant in the show's history. The holder of this weighty title is Michael Ventrella, a 31 year old DJ from Chicago. Mr. Ventrella weighs in at a solid 526 pounds. He has the distinction of being the first Biggest Loser contestant over 500 pounds.
The winner of season 8 was Danny Cahill, who also set a record for the most weight lost. Mr. Cahill started the show at 430 lbs. and lost a grand total of 239 lbs.. That is an amazing feat.
