2) A Healthy Diet – In many cases your food can be your medicine. There is food that helps arthritis, that can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol and food for anti-aging.
3) A Social Network of friends and/or family. If your family isn’t around, go to a senior center, attend library functions where you’ll meet people of like mind. If you’re more active, join a golfing group. Golf for seniors not only promotes sociability but strength, balance and flexibility as well.
4) A positive attitude. Laughter is indeed the best medicine. Scientists have shown that a good laugh releases endorphins, the feel good hormones, into your system.
You can live an active, healthy life, no matter what your age, provided you are willing to commit to taking care of yourself, one day at a time. Keep moving, eat well, socialize with friends or family, keep positive and stay young!
