Chunky’s Four Horsemen Burger: Hottest Burger in the World?
Is it in our pop culture to willingly consume foods we know will inflict harm on ourselves and, as proof, sign agreements to acknowledge the consequences of our actions which might result in pain?
What is the Four Horsemen Challenge?
The Four Horsemen Challenge is eating an extremely hot half-pound burger within 25 minutes, if the entire burger is consumed then there’s a five minute waiting period. During this period, you cannot drink anything or throw the burger up. During this challenge you are explicitly prohibited from drinking milk until you surrender or successfully complete the challenge.
What is the Four Horsemen Burger?
The Four Horseman is a burger with four types of peppers:
- Slices of Jalapenos
- Chopped Serrano Peppers
- Habanero Sauce
- Chunks of Bhut Jolokia (also called the ‘ghost pepper’)

According to Author (and burger challenger) Eric Golub, as of September 24 2010, out of 3,500 people only 200 have successfully completed the challenge.
On September 24 2010, I took the Four Horsemen Challenge during the challenge I realized this burger was no joke. I wrote on Facebook to say,
“This burger is no joke; it’ll bend you over and make you “squeal like a pig.” I truly believe there’s nothing that can fully prepare anyone on the “Wrath of the Four Horsemen.”
Who is eligible to compete?
According to Four Horsemen Agreement which you must sign:
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must not be pregnant.
- You must not have any serious medical conditions that may be affected by the challenge.
-You must not be intoxicated or high thus able to make a sound decision about the burger.
- Standard language releasing the Host from any damage from the burger.
A waiver must be signed to acknowledge your mental state and the potential consequences of eating the Four Horsemen Burger.
