Fold it Up and Go: Origami Posts Across Technorati
As a child, I used to love learning to fold a variety of things using Origami techniques. No library within bike riding distance had a book related to the ancient paper folding art that I hadn't skimmed through for a new challenge.
As a grown man, I find the same level of interest from my children, whenever I bust out a fold or two during quiet evenings, as long as I can still remember how to create them.
Apparently Origami is still a cool thing. Here are posts I recently found across Technorati-listed blogs, related to Origami:
From Technorati Top blog Mashable: 21 Origami Pieces That Make a Fold Statement. No instructions, but they might give you a lot of ideas.
From PSFK: Origami Paper Puppies Take Kids Offline - this post will take you to a site that offers pre-printed doggies your kids can fold and tape together to decorate their rooms or the house.
From Technorati Top Design blog Fast Company: A Clever, Shape-Shifting Bag Inspired By Origami - Okay, it's not paper, but it's a cool bag that can be folded up into different shapes to meet particular purposes. We have to agree with Fast Company, this is pretty cool.
From NeatoRama, The Amazing Paper Artwork of Jobe Brown, highlighting this papercraft master's incredible works. Related to Origami, but a bit different. Again, might spark the imagination.
And yet another Origami-related posting from Fast Company: If You've Got a Kid Leaving for College, This Extra Gum Spot May Make You Weep. I know, I know, this is a commercial, but it might help get you into the spirit of creating something special today that could be cherished tomorrow... Here's the video, and you might want to get a tissue:
