"I've got a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell" - Christopher Walken

Over the past few days, the internet has been abuzz with a new nerdy trend: WalkenShoes. These canvas shoes have a small stencil of Christopher Walken, Ted Danson or Anne Boleyn on them. Respectively, they are called "Walken Shoes", "Danson Shoes" and "Boleyn Shoes", which are clever plays on words, indeed.

The latest in a trend of nerdy clothing stores to pop-up, this one caters to a more esoteric pop-culture nerd. Walken and Danson are far from being super celebrities, but have resurfaced in recent years with a more down-played and subtle following.

Christopher Walken, best known in recent years, for his roles as The Watch Hiding "Captain Koonz" from Pulp Fiction as well as Bruce Dickinson from SNL'S "More Cowbell" sketch was unavailable for comment as to this resurgence in interest from the younger crowd. I imagine, if he were available for comment he'd say something like.. "I... think it's fanTAStic." (You'll have to read that using a Walken inflection).

Ted Danson, co-star of the subtly-humourous, "Bored to Death", also has his own shoe. The Danson Shoe. Also, due to his busy schedule, Danson could not be reached for comment. Danson, better known as Sam Malone from "Cheers" to an older generation, has joined the cast of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation".

Anne Boleyn, Queen of England and second wife to Henry VIII, could not be reached for comment because she is dead.
