Getting Organized with Professional Help - Page 2
The Professional Organizer industry is booming with more than 148,000 clients serviced by NAPO since 2008.
A 2008 NAPO Survey of 400 consumers nationwide showed that 65 percent of respondents noted that their household was at least moderately disorganized; 71 percent said their quality of life would improve if they were better organized; and, 96 percent of respondents indicated that they could save time every day by becoming more organized.Of those, 15 percent of respondents felt they could save more than an hour each day — for a total of more than 15 days per year — if they were more organized at home. Additionally, 30 percent of respondents felt they could save at least 30 minutes each day — or more than an entire week per year — if they were more organized at home.
In the June 2009, NAPO followed up their survey with a public poll of 1,397 people, who answered the following question:
How long would it take you to get your house ready for dinner guests?
The results were pretty interesting as 65 percent said four hours or fewer (913 votes); 11 percent said that they would never invite anyone inside (151 votes); 10 percent said eight hours (142 votes); 7 percent said 24 hours (104 votes); and, 6 percent said 40 or more hours (87 votes).
