***UPDATE*** Thomas Landon Church has been safely recovered. His non-custodial mother, Lara Snyder, 18, turned herself in to law enforcement in Johnson County, Tennessee on Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
Thomas Landon Church is believed to have been abducted from Mountain City, Tennessee, by his non-custodial mother, Lara Snyder who has been charged with felony child abuse and neglect, and custodial interference. Thomas has been missing since October 5.
Sheriff Mike Reece of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, as quoted by thetomahawk.com, reported that Thomas is considered “endangered,” based on information from the Tennessee Department of Children Services; he is classified as a “Family Abduction” by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Description: Thomas Landon Church is two years old. He is a white male with blonde hair and blue eyes. Thomas is three feet tall and weighs 40 pounds. Lara Snyder is 19-years-old; she is a white female with brown hair and brown eyes. She is five feet tall and weighs 115 pounds.
The sheriff’s department also reports that Lara Snyder and Thomas Landon Church may be in North Carolina or Florida. Felony warrants have been issued for Snyder’s arrest
