John Galliano... Dishonored?

The legendary fashion designer John Galliano, honored as a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor - the highest accolade available in the order - at the Élysée Palace in 2010 for his contributions to the fashion industries, has been stripped of his award. The withdrawal order was passed by decree of French president Francois Hollande, as a result of the designer's conviction last year, WWD reported earlier.

The British-born designer was dismissed from his position as creative director of Christian Dior in march 2011 after being found guilty of making racist and anti-Semitic comments for his infamous outbursts at a Paris Café. He was replaced by Raf Simons as the artistic director of haute couture, women’s ready-to-wear and accessories collections of the french house, who later debuted a critically acclaimed and mind-blowing Haute-Couture collection for Fall/Winter 2012 on July 2.

The falling-fashion-angel can not seem to find any sympathy. Beyond being sad news, this is just ridiculous... Is he ever going to be forgiven? Is he going to find some redemption? It is unbelievable that after so much time, he still is ‘the-outraged-designer’ who was caught in a bad moment like it has happened to all of us. He is a very talented-history-maker mind who deserves a second chance. We Love You John Galliano.
