Natalia Vodianova For Stella McCartney Fall 2012 Ad
Natalia Vodianova landed her third ad campaign for Stella McCartney as the face of the label. A simple, playful and glamourous yet effective ad campaign was shot in London by iconic photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. In one shot, the model kicks up her incredibly sporty-elegant heels and kicks an Atari monster while wearing an ultra chic-sporty-luxurious paneled minidress from the british designer’s fall collection. Whilst The Russian supermodel, channels her inner Chaplin holding the label’s faux-croc Grace clutch bag and wearing a lavishly-delightful embroidered white poplin shirt in another shot.
“[We tried] to create a striking, memorable image that will leap off the page and capture the energy of the collection and Natalia’s personality,” said McCartney of the campaign, which the designer styled. McCartney also noted that she wanted the campaign to have “a sense of humor”.
The label’s advertising will continue to advertise in countries where McCartney already does, but this season the designer will begin to advertise in Russia — namely in Vogue Russia, Harper’s Bazaar Russia and Elle Russia — as well as in Spain and China. In the U.S., the campaign will break in the September issues of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, V, Elle and Interview.
