Remember the Heights: Spiritual Inspiration
Last year, my good friend Melanie Lowry completed her book, Remember the Heights. I had become friendly with her on Twitter and was immediately drawn to her positive messages and spirituality. As soon as we started to communicate, we formed a bond over our beliefs that we could and should be spreading positive messages. Using our voices for good and to help others realize their spirits is very important.
When her book was complete, Melanie asked me to read it and let her know what I thought. I was amazed at how relevant the spiritual message is to everyday life. Most of us experience a disconnect with our spiritual side due to the everyday noises in our lives. By sharing stories from history, the bible, and even her own life, Melanie shows us how to find our way back to that connection without being overly preachy.
As an added treat, the book is available in digital format. To be able to hear Melanie read her own words (and add even more commentary) is a real plus. I decided to download the digital copy as well so I could listen on my way to and from work. At this point I hadn't met her in person but I was able to get a real sense of her personality and passion for her work and her mission. It made the commute go by so fast as well, I would get lost in the stories and be at my destination before I knew it.
Shortly after that, I had the pleasure of meeting Melanie in Los Angeles when we went out with a group of mutual friends. Her spirit, strength, and grace were all just as I had expected from her words. She is one of those people whose inner beauty radiates at all times.
