Soda Pot?
Only in Colorado would we see the most innovative product to hit the market: Canna Cola! Medical marijuana in a bottle will be hitting the Rockies in February and the product, Canna Cola, will soon be at dispensaries everywhere!
Clay Butler, an entrepreneur from California, came up with this ingenious idea! Ironically, he is quoted as saying the following: "I never drank, never smoked. I’m a clean-living guy. I’ve had two beers in my whole life, and I remember them both too. No marijuana, I’ve never smoked a cigarette. I take an aspirin when I get a headache. That’s it.”
Canna Cola is based on regular, mainstream sodas. For example, Orange Kush is based off of Orange Crush, a bubbly orange delight. However, the prices are a lot higher than regular, supermarket sodas starting at $10 a bottle.
For now, it is only being released in Colorado, the original "Hippie State." California's and Nevada's dispensaries will simply have to wait.
Being a non-drug user myself, I can see why he would want to do this. Medical marijuana is a hot commodity right now and many people with ailments from glaucoma to cancer are lining up to get their magical herbs.
Since 1996, California has legalized medical cannabis use when voters passed Proposition 215. Since 1978, experiments with medical marijuana have been conducted. So, this issue is a lot older than we think and the market is much wider. Currently, the following states allow medical marijuana to varying degrees: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, and Vermont.
This product will be great for those who can no longer smoke marijuana due to health issues. It will be interesting to see if Clay's vision becomes reality.
