The Tsunami in Japan is Nature Showing its Superiority!
He bought an air ticket to the United States seven days prior to the meeting with a multinational company who were interested in working with him as a consultant. He was certain that he would nail the deal and was excited at having the opportunity to be working with a reputed organization. She bought a new dress for a date two days too early and loved the idea of a candle light dinner. A group of friends were excited about going to a soccer match where they could have fun! People in Japan had plans for life and how they would go about living it. They felt that with proper planning they would avoid getting late to school, would have chance at the employee of the month awards and would be able to pay the bills at time etc. Little did they know that such trivial matters would soon become insignificant in face of the mammoth rage of nature they were about to endure.
On Friday 11th March 2011 an Earthquake hit Japan and caused a Tsunami to erupt. The quake was 8.9 on the scale and the water flowed at a rate of over 350 km/h. Anything that came into its path was washed away and a collage of buildings and cars could be seen floating in the waves. Water destroyed everything in its path and within the debris was the faith that man has on himself in regards to his survival.
We believe that we can plan for the future. We think that insurances, planning and technology can ensure our safety and we start believing that we are the owners of the world we live in. Every now and then a catastrophe is sent upon us from the heavens above to warn us of our insignificance in face of nature and its course of action. Man is just a small piece of the puzzle. The moment he starts feeling invincible man is made to realize how naive he actually is and how helpless he could be made to look only if nature takes a small sneeze or pukes a little bit of water!
