The Carolina Tiger Rescue is dedicated to providing sanctuary to cats of all stripes and grins. I am not sure whether they harbor the Chesire Cat, but I can always hope. That feline has held a special place in my affections since I first read 'Alice In Wonderland'. If any of his brethren tried to eat him, all they would find is his grin. That's the special power I'd like to have in the 'teeth' of a crisis.
In the meantime, the real cats have left their mark, proving once again that we are not the only species who bonds with it's fellows. On one of it's pages, Carolina Tiger Rescue has a list of links for memorials to the cats who all had a story, and forged a place in the hearts of their guardian angels.
