Time To Chime. In
Yes, it's time to Chime.In. I have signed up for the Beta version of yet another social network and I'm engrossed in figuring out it's capabilities. It's early days yet, but I like it.
It Chime. In, you can follow the "chimes" of people you may choose to "follow". The founders of Chime, claim that it is not person, but interest- centred. This means it affords you an opportunity to see what people are saying about an interesting area - be it either writing, football, politics or fashion. You are free to join any "community" and since it's still in it's infancy, you have the scope to start your own.
I like their concept of chiming which has a comfortable user interface. You have the option of adding a link, a photo, a video, or a poll along with your"chime." I have seen some astounding pictures ,which suggests the software can support large files.
Chime. In gives you some elements of Twitter and Facebook. There's a feature which you may like which enables you to post your chime to Twitter and Facebook as well. You have the choice to like, share, save or hide the chimes that appear on your page from those you follow, much like the news feed on Facebook.
Chime, In comes from UberMedia whose founder Bill Gross is a serial entrepreneur who has worked on some 100 creations over the last 30 years. He hopes to bring in a model by which advertisements on your page can fetch you revenues.
There are some who say that there are just too many social media networks these days. I say that it's up to the user to choose to invest their precious time on the ones that give them the highest returns. You can join all and muddle through them or you can choose wisely and spend just as much time as you would need to. That choice remains yours.
