Who are The Top Fashion Icons of All Time?
Fashion and beauty go hand in hand in a purely visual language. Exotic. Different. Elegance. Class. Innovation. These are a few of the many qualities I judged on when I picked my top fashion icons. What comes to your mind when you think of a fashion icon?
- Brigitte Bardot- She was the epitome of French mod fashion. Tousled blonde hair and cat-eye make up were two characteristics of her style. Loose waves give her style a sexy, relaxed feel. Gingham, ballet flats, black tights, neutral tones, and bikinis were regularly seen in her outfits. Being known for her twenty-two-inch waist, accentuating your waist with belts around dresses is also a good idea.Liquid eyeliner, capris, and tousled hair complete her signature look.
- Marilyn Monroe- The late actress is one of my favorites! Blonde hair, curves, and a sex appeal unlike any woman of her time, she is an iconic American woman in any sense of the word. Pastel dresses, simplicity, heels with almost every outfit, and pearls are staples of Marilyn Monroe's look. She began modeling during the Second World War and grew to adore Christian Dior. Red lipstick and the iconic white halter dress from "The Seven Year Itch" are two things she is best known for. Heart-shaped sunglasses and a floppy hat are also lovely accents to complete the Blonde Bombshell's look.
- Reese Witherspoon- The blonde is the classic Southern belle.
- Katy Perry- The "California Girl" mixes some of my favorite things- colors, glitter, and a smashing retro style.Katy Perry is a creative woman who mixes lingerie staples, such as bustiers, into her regular style.
- Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis- She is easy the queen of all-American class! Big sunglasses and pearls dot every photo of her.
- Rihanna- she isn't afraid of anything! Fashion-wise, she has cut her hair, dyed her hair, and worn a little bit of anything edgy. Continued on the next page
