Some people do unbelievable and weird things when facing financial hardships, especially in light of the present economy. How far can a person go to save himself or herself from a financial trouble?

A Saudi man, named Saud bin Nasser Al Shahry, reportedly tried to sell his 3-year old son using the social network giant Facebook. It's said that the Saudi Arabia government shut down the man's debt-collection business which apparently was illegal. The man claimed that he previously turned to Saudi welfare officials for aid, but was turned down, because he's no longer eligible for benefits since he's already 35 years old. Seemingly desperate to avoid poverty for him and his family, the man said he turned to Facebook to offer his child to buyers for 20 million dollars. The man surely didn't realize that a sale of that nature on Facebook will not happen since it's considered human-trafficking, and honestly, downright immoral.

To note, around half of all Saudi Arabia children face domestic problems, as claimed by The National Society For Human Rights, a Saudi Arabian human rights group.

According to reports, it is unclear whether the actions of this man are merely a publicity stunt or, if genuine, but it's no brainer that he acted real dumb and reckless.

I won't be surprised if what he did causes him to sink even more into trouble, not only financially, but legally as well.
