It's that time of year again. The time when ever child suddenly remembers that Father's Day is just around the corner and time is running out to get a gift in the mail or stop by the shopping center to pick up something to show how much we love and appreciate Dads! I too have also been a procrastinator this year and thankfully my wife was able to put a very lovely card in the mail just today. However, this got me thinking about all the gifts and cards and other Dad memorabilia that Fathers tend to get this time of year, and I wondered what are some things that a dad might actually want or use. Being a new dad myself, I felt rather qualified to come up with my own list and decided to share it with all of you.

ManBabies.com - Dad?
The first thing I want to share is a website that I just came across in the last day or two, and the idea that it spawned within me. Manbabies is a website where individuals upload photoshopped pictures of men and their babies with their heads switched. Seems pretty simple right? If you haven't seen this site, you must go once you finish this article. The pictures are hilarious. Hence my idea to use photoshop to edit a wonderful family portrait to use in place of the traditional greeting card. If your dad enjoys a good laugh, this one is sure to bring a smile.

Now for some gifts that should delight the dad in your family. No ties or socks here, save those for some other Holiday. Father's Day is a day all about dad! Cool and unique gifts should reign supreme, and nothing does that better than electronics! There is such a variety of tablets on the market today that selecting one is sure to please the techy dad in your life. The front runner in my mind is the Apple iPad2 which starts around $499. The cool thing is that Apple offers personalized engravings, so you can share a special message if you like. Another tablet that is fairly good is the Samsung Galaxy Tab which runs around $199. Both tablets come with their respective App stores and a host of features that will keep Dad smiling all year long.
