Lionsgate and HiT Entertainment will release three new titles on February 21, 2012, and the collection is sure to excite the pre-school set; after all, who wouldn’t want more Thomas, Barney, and Bob on DVD? All three new titles support social and learning skills, while entertaining with familiar characters, and reinforcing positive values.

Never before have three Thomas & Friends movies been combined together in one set, but Thomas & Friends: The Movie Pack offers Thomas & Friends: Hero of the Rails, Thomas & Friends: Calling All Engines, and Thomas & Friends: The Great Discovery. Kids (ages two through five) are invited to join Thomas and his buddies on the Island of Sodor as they attempt to get the airport ready and the bridge built for summer, restore an old town, and try to save “an abandoned engine from a faraway land” from the scrap heap. Bonuses on the three-disc set include games (“Thomas and Spencer Racing Game” and “Calling All Engines! Game”)¸ karaoke music videos, deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes, sing-along, read-along, and learning activities.

For kids who would rather spend time with a talking, laughing, singing, dancing purple dinosaur, (wouldn’t you?), there is the Barney: Movie Pack 3-DVD Set. Barney takes kids on exciting adventures to the rain forest and other exotic lands, and also spends time on the ABCs. Barney, BJ, and Baby Bop visit an enchanted rain forest where they meet all kinds of amazing animals and plants that live there. Playing with monkeys and collecting butterflies are just part of the fun. More animals star in Barney: Animal ABC’s when the gang gets together to play with blocks—and, believe it or not, they find animals for every letter of the alphabet. There’s more travel in Barney: Let’s Go on Vacation Barney and all his friends head to new places for a fun-laden musical adventure. Kids will learn about exotic foods and meet new friends. Bonuses on the three-disc set include earth-friendly activities, a safari match game, Spanish sing-alongs, and other learning activities. “Barney: Movie Pack 3-DVD Set” is recommended for children ages one through five.
