Spook House Dave Debuts Online
The Spook House Dave Halloween Special was released this past week with little or no fan fair. This is not surprising, as Spook House Dave is independently produced and distributed by Dragon Fruit Studios solely via the internet at SpookHouseDave.com and is geared towards kids age 5-12, not exactly the demographic scouring the Internet for original content.
This is a fairly well produced puppet show even by broadcast TV standards, and the Halloween special is fun, while very vaguely addressing several social issues including hypocrisy and racism. There are some gems of humor that will amuse adult viewers, but for the most part, this is a show for children.
Overall, Spook House Dave is worth checking out especially if you are a puppet or horror enthusiast, sick of the Charlie Brown Halloween Special, or a 7-year-old disillusioned by Disney and Nickelodeon's oligarchical reign over your entertainment.
