Ultimate Mommy Confessions
Stumbling around on the internet one night I came across an article written by a lady named Jill Smokler. She happens to be an ultimate cool kid, the writer and editor of the popular mommy blog, ScaryMommy.com. Jill has somehow managed to parlay a simple site for parenting confessions into a multi-thousand dollar business complete with a book deal, television appearances, and a few endorsements. She's a certifiable rock star in the parenting blog industry, and she's done it all by capitalizing on parent's deepest darkest secrets.
I'll admit that I don't read Jill's blog on a regular basis. Aside from the fact that I'm too busy with my own blogging exploits, jealousy keeps me from becoming a regular reader. She's successful, and I'm still climbing. I'm a hater, what can I say?... Anywho, I came across Jill's article that she had written and contributed to the parenting website thestir.cafemom.com. The article - entitled 25 All-Time Favorite Mommy Confessions - is exactly what it sounds like - a compilation of some of Jill's favorite parenting revelations.
I began to read and was floored - I was torn between shear amusement and downright disgust. All I could think was that I had to be in the running for "Parent of the Year" because some of these heffas came off as being a little unbalanced.
For example:
You had your tame, "I-can-sort-of-relate" confessions:

And then you had your asinine, "are-you-on-medication?" confessions:

I hate to be judgmental... Really. My husband always calls me a "devil's advocate" because I have the ability to convincingly justify the most questionable of behaviors. Still, some of the confessions had me a little thrown.
