Which alternative therapy?

Till recently, the Western medical world looked upon allopathy as the primary therapy for any illness. Nowadays there is a growing trend of using a variety of complementary or alternative therapies like Yunani medicine, acupressure, Homeopathy, Ayurveda, etc.

Today we also frequently come across advice that encourages us to try and find out which alternative therapy works for us. However is there a more reliable method than that? Is there a way of knowing whether some therapies are simply more effective than others? Which therapy provides for the most sustainable and most complete eradication of disease or illness?

Most of us, especially those of us untrained in the medical or healing sciences have a very superficial understanding of the process of healing. Mostly our understanding of the process is limited to the alleviation of the symptoms of our illness. Yet this alleviation of symptoms could be the result of a wide spectrum of events. It can mean anthing from mere masking up of the illness to the eradication of the disease from its very root.

Since most alternative or complementary healing therapies refer to or use spiritual energy flows or the more subtle and intangible aspects of our body and mind in the healing process – it would only seem prudent that we rely on the science which deals with this realm – spiritual science - to provide answers to questions like ability of each therapy to heal, its outcomes, limitations and risks.

Finally, one can look up to the science of Spirituality to also provide answers to questions such as destined illness, its causes, what all can help us overcome or more easily bear destined illness, and more generally - how to go about overcoming difficulties in our life journey.
