Who is Kangaroo Lanie?
Who is holding that alligator on the Daytime Emmys? Did you see Kangaroo Lanie with Needles the Porcupine? Who knew you could hold one up close! Kangaroo Lanie shared some of her thoughts about handling animals and educating our youth this week on "The Talk." She can be seen nationwide on Good Day LA June 27.

I never imagined I would actually be walking the RED CARPET with my dear friend and mentor Jack Hanna at the Daytime Emmy Awards last Saturday! But suddenly there I was, holding Spike the 100 pound gator, being escorted through the crowd of celebrities and hurried to the front of the line so that the crowd of paparazzi could get their shot of the red carpet gone WILD! It was quite the spectacle with Spike the alligator, porcupine, lemur, marmoset, pop star Debbie Gibson, Jungle Jack...oh, and don't forget the huge cockroaches I put in Jack's pocket!
When Jack and Debbie accepted an award on behalf of a winner- Jack turned and set the Emmy award in front of Spike and he tried to EAT IT!! The crowd of Emmy guests went wild as the blonde girl in pig tails (me) walked out and picked the 100 pound gator up off the stage!!
Spike had stolen the spotlight at the Emmys and was now asked to be a guest, along with his handler-me, Kangaroo Lanie, on the Emmy award winning program THE TALK!!
Animal lover Sharon Osborne fell in love with Spike and Sheryl Underwood looked me right in the eye and said "I just love you"!! After we finished taping the show the cast, crew, and even the Executive Producer, wanted photos with us!
Needless to say my arms are a bit tired, but my heart is full of joy knowing that my amazing animal ambassador Spike touched so many hearts and minds this weekend!!!
