Halloween Costumes Made of Reused and Recycled Material
Without a doubt, children and adults alike enjoy Halloween because it's an opportunity to dress up, get out of the house to visit friends around the neighborhood, get bags upon bags of candy, and engage in other fun activities.
Not so fun is the fact that Halloween can also become a wasteful event as millions of consumers buy ready-made costumes that quickly become cast-offs.
This Halloween, instead of buying new, save money and protect the environment by being creative in crafting your own look with reused and recycled materials.
I've already decided to be a phone book. I will cut out the front page and the back page of a phone book, pin them onto whatever I will be wearing front and back, and every where else will be pinned pages from the inside of the phone book, and I'll consider the costume done. Cheap, yes, but if I can use that phone book one more time before I recycle it, that's a good thing.

Making your own costume or making one for your child/children can be a fun-filled family activity. Look around your house, just about anything can be turned into parts of a costume. It all depends on what you'd like to become. Flower pot, anyone?
