Radiation From Japan Reaches Philippine Boundaries
Philippine Nuclear Research Institute released an advisory notice Tuesday saying that they have detected radiation and added these traces were from Japan's nuclear power plant at Fukushima, which has been leaking since being damaged by an earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011.
The Fukushima nuclear power plant, which was damaged by the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan, has leaked for sometime already and which caused radioactive isotopes on the open air. Philippine Nuclear Research Institute has detected small amounts of radiation from Japan's damaged nuclear plant. The institute had issued an advisory notice Tuesday, and announced to the public that these traces are not harmful to humans.
While these advisories are always saying it is not an issue for the public to panic, the people has its own opinion to how they will look at things. For sure if people are apprehensive in putting up a cell site right at their vicinity which causes a much safer radiation expossure, as the telephone companies claim, they will react differently in this clear and present danger.
Other countries nearer to Japan like South Korea and China also have detected radioactive iodine-131 in their territories. Reports are also indicating similarly that they were not harmful to humans.
