Replace Vinyl Floring in Schools

Sure, school-attending children don't lick the PVC floors, but the vinyl flooring still releases phthalates and dioxins into the immediate environment where kids spend most of their time during the day.

The school should be a safe and healthy environment so that children can learn and perform optimally.
Children still have developing brains and nervous systems, which makes close contact and long-term exposure to chemicals particularly harmful. There are much safe and environmentally friendlier options. Hardwood floors, bamboo, tile, and other materials are much less toxic than PVC.
All building materials go through a chemical process in order to be made, but not all building materials are created equal when it comes to toxic levels. It would be wise for school administrators to prioritize their budget so that when the floors need replacing, that they'd replace it with a healthier and eco-friendlier alternative compared to PVC.
Of course, it's not only the school administrators who can make a difference; parents who express their preferences for a healthier school environment would create greater awareness and demand for it.
