Blogosphere Full of Travel Tips for Super Bowl
If you are a nutty Colts fan or one of "dem" Saints fans, you might want to think about how you can get your hands on those super packages. Here are some tips courtesy of the LA Times Daily Travel and Deal Blog:
The first thing you need to know is that you're going to pay about two grand for end zone seats (and more for better locations). The ticket costs are a good barometer of what you're looking at overall for travel costs (hotel, tickets, etc.).
According writer Jen Leo, Expedia has Super Bowl XLIV packages that come with airfare, four nights’ lodging, Super Bowl tickets in the upper-level corner, VIP access, $50 merchandise coupons, programs and more. Packages start at $3,433 per person.
She also too a look at Jetsetter, which has Super Bowl XLIV packages with tickets to the game and rooms at the Standard in Miami Beach. Prices start at $6,501 for three nights (Feb. 5-8) and include two seats between the 20 and 50 yard line on the mezzanine level.
Lastly, Leo looked at Orbitz, which had good deals, but she discovered others by creating packages on her own.
The great thing about her post is that she actually tests out the packages to see what is advertised is what is delivered.
Another great post over at Jaunted gives a great round-up of other options.
Before you book anything however, be sure to do your due diligence, and be leery of scams.
