Australian business tycoon Clive Palmer announces his plans to construct the replica of the famous passenger liner Titanic.Sydney; June 21,2012:
Famous Australian business tycoon Clive Palmer has announced his plans to construct the replica of the famous passenger liner RMS Titanic.

Mr.Palmer said, "This magnificent ship is being constructed in memory of the heroic people who served on the first ship, as well as the passengers who sadly shared their fate." Further he added, "Once the vessel is completed it will regular feature on the Trans-Atlantic route between United Kingdom and USA." Palmer also claimed that about 20,000 people have already agreed to be a part of the vessel's maiden voyage.

The vessel's architecture will be defined by 'Blue Star Line' a shipping company recently established by Mr. Clive Palmer. The design will be mostly kept similar to the predecessor ship RMS Titanic. The vessel will be 885 ft(270 m)long, 174 ft(53 m)high and weighing approximately 40,000 tonnes. The units are exact similar to RMS Titanic. The vessel will feature 840 rooms and 9 Decks.

After the designing phase is completed, Finnish-based naval architecture and engineering firm 'DeltaMarin' will take the project in charge. It will begin Titanic II's construction at CSC Jinling Shipyard in China. The vessel is reported to be read by 2016.

Once the vessel is completed it will be escorted by the Chinese Navy to United Kingdom where Titanic II will begin it's new journey.

The predecessor ship RMS Titanic sunk 100 years ago in the North Atlantic Ocean in 1912 after colliding with an iceberg on it's maiden voyage. The sinking of the ship resulted into 1,514 deaths. About 710 people survived the disaster.
