The city of San Antonio includes a number of great historic landmarks as well as convenient places to stay and nearby dining establishments. The Alamo:
Visit the location where the fight for Texas independence began when you tour the Alamo. Encompassing 4.2 acres in downtown San Antonio, the Alamo is a great example of early Texas architecture as well as the Spanish influenced southwest forts of the early 1800's. The Alamo was the scene of the fight between the Mexican army and the defenders of Texas Independence, including men like Sam Houston, Davey Crockett and James Bowie.

The defeat at the Alamo was the spark that led to the Texas Revolution and the defeat of the armies of General Antonio López de Santa Anna. The Alamo is operated today by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and includes a gift shop and museum as well as exhibits and displays of life during the days of the famous battle.

Sea World San Antonio Park:
If you enjoy theme parks and sea life, then check out the Sea World Theme Park in San Antonio. The park includes many exciting attractions and activities like Dolphins Cove, the Journey to Atlantis, the Penguin Encounter, Flamingo Cove, Alligator Alley and much more. There are a number of amazing shows for you to enjoy as well as rides and tours throughout the park. Sea World San Antonio also includes several gift shops, cafes and restaurants in the park.
