Nicola Brown

Inspired by shapes from the natural world and the beauty of the rural Irish landscape Nicola creates sculptural pieces and wearable art using traditional wet felting methods. Using natural materials such as raw wool, silk, vegetable and animal fibres she is constantly fascinated by how it is possible to create strong felt by the simple addition of water, soap and friction from her hands. Sharing her felting journey through blogging, facilitating workshops in Ireland and USA as well as through the two books that Nicola has self published means that others too may enjoy the simple pleasure of creating something beautiful.
