Barbara Shipka

A theme throughout Barbara’s life has been our global community. At the leading edge of global sustainability and social responsibility, she served on the Board of Directors for The World Business Academy and is author of Leadership in a Challenging World. A current passion is how our evolving consciousness, global community, and emerging technology are being braided together. Her quest is to help evolve the braid beyond transaction that we may learn how to bring true and authentic depth and spirit to our virtual experiences. Themes for Barbara’s 30+ years working with global organizations are: • Bringing one’s whole self to work • Deepening capacity in the art of leadership • Creating a global / whole systems orientation • Working across geographies, genders, generations… Working in education and international development as well, Barbara spent 7 years living in Africa, The Middle East, The Caribbean, and Europe.
