Martha Shaw

A freelance writer and part time teacher of creative writing now living in Charleston South Carolina, I was raised in MA where my previous career was as a banking professional. I was also formerly a columnist for the Chelsea Weekly Newspaper. In addition to writing for Technorati and my other freelance writing, I have two very popular blogs: http://inlovewiththelord.wordpress.com/ and http://open.salon.com/blog/marthalshaw When I am not writing, and sometimes when I am, I am active in lay ministry at my church, St. George's Episcopal Church in Summerville South Carolina. http://www.stgeorge-sc.org/ I am also a Cursillista, and a self-taught artist. My current projects include a children's book which I have recently completed writing and which is now in the hands of an illustrator. I also have completed my first book, Hunger's Journey - a collection of reflections of life with Christ and am at present formatting it for republishing. In addition to these projects I am presently in the process of writing my next book which will be composed of inspirational poetry, reflections on scripture, and lessons the Lord has taught me in my personal walk with Him. I plan to illustrate this book with photographs of my own original collection of quilted wall hangings featuring Christian themed piecing and am planning a companion leaflet with patterns and instructions for recreating my needlework.
