Martin Russo is focused on building a successful career in freelance writing and journalism. I have deliberately looked for and found work experience in this area, achieving published stories promoting a national organising project with my current main employer Unison, one of the biggest public sector trade unions in the UK. He has also published stories in their national staff magazine, reporting on a climate change demonstrations and staff activities. He has also written a number of stories for Unison's websites. Russo holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the Queen Mary, University of London and is currently studying for a Master's degree in Journalism at Birkbeck College, University of London. During a feature story for "Unison," Russo prepared a series of questions to help ensure he covered every angle during his interview for the national magazine.
