Michael WilleDateline: Life of an Entrepreneur
Hey I’m Mike. Welcome to Life of an Entrepreneur .net. I don’t want to bore you with too many details so I’ll give you a short version of who I am. To me, being an entrepreneur means creation, the opportunity to grow and lead. It means turning a vision into reality and the means to change the world on a massive scale. For me it’s just as much about the means as the end. I love the journey but the destination gives it all purpose. From 19 to 21 I served a 2 year mission for my church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This experience redefined for me what it really meant to lead, work hard and love. At 22 I set out to learn behavioral psychology. I was determined to learn it as completely as possible so I threw myself into the most complete and hardest form of selling I could think of (door to door) and joined the company with the best training I could find. From age 23 to 24 I refined my ability to sell, recruit, train and lead a sales office. At 24 I started my own alarm company and learned what it means to choose a good business partner. At 25 I honed my skills in internet marketing and online business. In addition to developing and marketing my own sites I worked with clients as a business consultant to develop online marketing strategies. Also at 25 I started with BYU’s business program, ranked 4th in the nation for entrepreneurship. At 26 I started cascadebedding.com with my friend and partner Taylor. I’ve lived in quite a few places including Cleveland, Chicago, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Salt Lake, and Hilton Head, but lately I’ve called Provo Utah home.
