Neil McKenzie

I am a Scotsman currently living in Amsterdam. I have a "real" job as a researcher and project manager. When I am not doing that I play guitar and sing in various music endeavours around Amsterdam. This has led to me hosting weekly and monthly Jam Sessions – both Acoustic and Electric. In the past year I have also recorded and released albums for other musicians in Amsterdam. Through my day job I travel extensively around Europe and try to soak up as much of what each destination has to offer as possible. This has resulted in me developing a love of eating and cooking and in general experiencing whatever the next page has to offer. I am an accomplished writer of technical and desk research and for around 5 years I have tried to extend this to more creative and leisurely writing through first keeping my own travel blog and then a music diary. More recently I have started to expand by contributing as a guest writer for other blogs and publications.
