I am an entrepreneurial rabbi who believes that the traditional borders of the global Jewish community have disappeared through globalization and new technology. I am the president of Access Computer Technology, a premier source for 21st century computer information technology and social media consulting. I am interested in how modern technology affects Jewish life, particularly the impact of the Internet on the Jewish global community. The Detroit Free Press called me "the most tech savvy Jewish leader in Metro Detroit." I write the "Jewish Techs" blog for The Jewish Week (New York) and I also blog for the Huffington Post, The Detroit Jewish News, and Community Next. I am the founder and director of Kosher Michigan, a kosher certification agency whose mission is to increase the number of kosher options in the marketplace. I serve on numerous local and national boards, including JARC, The Michigan Jewish Sports Foundation, Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's Family Circle, and the Jewish Outreach Institute.
