Sam ArdDateline: Thought provoking analysis from personal experience.
Hello, I'm Sam Ard and I do all the writing bits and everything else here on Dive In The Deep End. I'm fourteen and about to embark on the unenviable journey that is GCSE's. Since I was about 12'ish I knew I wanted to be a journalist as debating and writing has always been my forte. Not forgetting making bad puns. Throughout those three years I have developed my interest in the news and last year started this blog to give me an output for my writing. As regular readers will know - I also have a large passion for radio. I believe this in down to caravan holidays in my younger years with my nan and grandpa. I'm also a large BBC Radio 2 fan admiring the work of Jeremy Vine and Steve Wright for example (who has amazing jingles). The feedback and responses I get amaze me each day and I thank all readers for that. The blog continues to open up some amazing opportunities to me - Just from reviewing GEM 106 I've managed to sit in the studio with the breakfast time while they do their show. It's all experience and I hope will add to my journalistic and broadcasting abilities. I do have a life other than journalism and blogging too though! I love to snowboard and often do extreme mountain biking with my dad. I also swim often and enjoy tennis and the odd camping trip with my mum.
