n the summer of 1995, Emily’s mother gave her a copy of “The Apprenticeship Of Duddy Kravitz” to read. That book encouraged a girl with a wild imagination to follow in the footsteps of her Grandfather and become a writer. Emily has won numerous awards for her writing, including two at a National level in Canada. And if you haven’t figured it out yet, Emily is a born and bred Canadian, (that’s ooout and aboooot to you!). She moved to the US three years ago.Currently, she works at ServiceMagic in Golden, Colorado as their Service Professional Marketing Specialist. Don’t let the title fool you. She still wakes up at 5 am to walk her two labs and calls her mother every day. It’s the little things in life. Emily has a B.aH in political communication, professional diploma in PR + event marketing, and finishing a Master's degree in Communication (spec. Social Media). She has written freelance for major Canadian newspapers and is currently the head blogger at ServiceMagic (proconnection.servicemagic.com) She has developed and run many successful National campaigns for non-profit and profit organizations leveraging social media. Currently, she is designing the standards for new corporate online citizenship. When not at her desk, you can find her tearing down mountains on her bike. Emily craves knowledge and has a particular love for all things dinosaur. She suffers from occasional episodes of obsessive Facebook status updating.
