Hello, my name is Duane and I plan to retire in the next 6 years, 67 months actually but who’s counting? My personal goal is to trade full time for a living, however I am not diving head first like some xtreme Red Bull thrill seeking cliff diver. Quitting was considered many times a viable option when I realized I was able to make $500+ in less time it takes to watch a Seinfeld re-run (I don’t have Tivo). But as the saying goes, easy come, easy go. The security of a steady paycheck and retirement on the horizon, I decided to postpone my master plan of trading full time. I am still an active (profitable) participant in the markets by way of trading options, ETF’s, stocks, and the occasional swing trade while working 50hrs a week. I’ve been participating in the market for nine years and I still crave the autonomy, independence and creativity the market offers. I’m fascinated by economic theories, politics, sociology, psychology, history and beer.
