Anthony Weiner – The new American Dilemma.
Anthony Weiner has survived so far!
A week ago the media and the internet was abuzz with new revelations and clamor for his resignation. The question in the minds of every one was will he or won’t he?
But why did it become such a burning issue? Beneath the apparent political dilemma, there are issues no one wants to speak about or admit .
For argument, if we were all living during Renaissance when the internet was also available in its current advanced stage of development, would the Anthony Weiner issue have arisen at all? Would Anthony have ventured with his high risk hobby?
The short answer is in this famous statue of David by Michael Angelo.
The perception of what is elegant and desired by women was exactly opposite of the modern times. If Anthony lived during the renaissance he would have had a struggle to hide his prized possession!
However it looks like this was not the case as per sociologist Camille Pagalia:
