America is angry at British Petroleum - the business owners across the Gulf, the environmentalists and the rest of America that follows mob rule. Frankly, I'm not that mad at British Petroleum. Even though I live on the Gulf, it's like being mad at the three year old in the mall dumping soda all over the floor and the parent just sitting there.

The child was allowed to drink soda (pump oil out of the gulf) the parent (government) didn't check to make sure the cup was secure (lax safety measures in place) and only reacted when the soda was spilled. What did they expect? That's exactly what happened with BP. Our government allowed them to drill. Everyone from the regulatory agencies, to the company that owns the wells, to our own Government never made sure that the drilling was taking place with the correct "if-then" measures in place.

However, they still ended up dumping millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico, pretty much destroying the ecosystem. So if I'm going to be angry at anyone, it's going to be everyone involved in the existence of that rig. That means every fool over the past 15 years who jumped on the SUV craze, sucking down gas like it's going out of style. You caused this mess with your over- dependence on fossil fuels.

So when the British Prime Minister David Cameron says that he "completely understands" the anger felt across America I have to wonder how much the British government is involved in all of this. After all, BP is a British company, so that means that their lobbying didn't just take place on the steps of our government buildings, but the ones in London as well.
