Does Mr. Cain Wear Flip-Flops?
On Saturday the 23rd of October, 2011 at the state fairgrounds in Des Moines for an Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition banquet, former CEO of Godfather's Pizza and Republican presidential candidate, Herman Cain said he would “work to defund (sic) Planned Parenthood.” Moreover, Mr. Cain believes that “abortion . . . should be . . . illegal across this country.”
The flip-flop occurred from just a few days ago on October 19, 2011 when Mr. Cain was in an interview with CNN. Mr Cain said, “It gets down to that family. And whatever they decide, they decide.” Mr Cain added, “ The government shouldn't be trying to tell people everything to do, especially when it comes to social decisions that they need to make.”
Respecting the governing authority of the United States Supreme Court is likely a primary principle of the Faith part of that Coalition, which Mr. Cain appears to disregard in his politicking. Moreover, his yes should be yes and his no should be no.
But what else can anyone expect from a politician. Wearing flip-flops in church is considered by many to be disrespectful. But flip-flopping one's position in politics is just more of the same and clearly acceptable to many.
However, the one answer on this topic that this writer wants to know, Mr. Cain: “Is that your final answer?”
