Excuse Me, Mr. President, We Thought You Should Govern
While President Obama enjoys yet another vacation at a time when many Americans can’t afford to pay their electric bills, what’s becoming fully transparent is our nation’s leader is not good at leading.
When George W. Bush was President, many on the left criticized his golf outings and vacations to Crawford, Texas. After all, we were a nation at war, so how dare he have fun while our men and women died in foreign lands?
Yet today, President Obama escapes serious criticism about his frequent vacations - he’s had six - and his refusal to do what some people do in the nation every day: work hard.
The fact of the matter is this President is not a particularly hard worker. Obama wants to play the role but he doesn’t want to wake at 5 AM and go to bed at 10 PM working throughout. Obama represents the “me” generation in an all new way. Just as he was during the campaign, Obama is all about entitlements. He feels entitled to do what he wants, except work hard to get Americans back to work. He doesn’t seem to care what anyone - even those who mistakenly elected him - care or think about his performance.
Just today, while having another extravagant vacation on Martha’s Vineyard, Obama refused to answer questions from the press corps. When asked a question about the war in Iraq and the supposed withdraw of combat forces there, Obama refused to answer and seemed surprised someone would ask the President a question while on vacation.
“We’re buying shrimp, guys,” Obama said. “Come on.”
How dare the press ever question El Presidente. How dare the American people ask Obama to do anything on his day off.
While many Americans skimp by and eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to survive, the Obamas are buying shrimp on the Vineyard. How dare you interrupt their luxury?Continued on the next page
