Fire BAD! Gorilla Suit Good
Political bloggers may have difficulty agreeing on topics from across the aisle; this is a given. Health care, immigration, foreign policy ... it's all a maze of rhetoric, talking points, and trying to prove that one's opinion is never wrong.
But every once in a while, liberals and conservatives can agree on certain topics, and we should point these out as often as possible. Case in point: nobody can deny the hilarity of a guy in a gorilla suit during inopportune situations.
Via the (Manchester) New Hampshire Union Leader, the neighbor wanted to cheer up his buddy whose house just went up in flames, so he donned a gorilla suit. Seems like the only logical response. Patting one's shoulder and saying "it'll be okay" is so cliché.
Maybe that's what candidates who lose races in the upcoming election need. Consolatory gorillas. Make it happen.
