Florida Democrats Bring Lawsuit

Florida Democrats want the state's early voting period to be extended, but Republican Gov. Rick Scott says no. Therefore, the state Democrats have filed a federal lawsuit, asking for an extension to the state's early voting period. On Saturday, the last day of early voting, some Floridians waited for hours in line, and nearly 4 million early and absentee votes have been cast so far.

Earlier, the time period available used to be 14 hours; the GOP-controlled Florida Legislature cut it down to eight last year, and that reduction was upheld by federal courts. This year, state Democrats are citing “unprecedented voter turnout” as the reason to extend early voting but Scott is not interested, and the chance of an intervention from the court is all but nil.

Why are the Republicans not interested in extending early voting? Because the Republicans are not interested in ordinary people voting.

I wrote earlier that in so many states the Republicans are playing dirty games to disenfranchise voters. They talk of voter fraud while they execute electoral fraud. They are on record for having stolen two elections with electoral frauds in Florida and Ohio, yet they keep on crying foul in the name of voter fraud. If you want to understand why the GOP is so gripped with voter fraud think of Paul Weyrich, who is considered as the father of the right-wing movement.

In the 1980’s Weyrich said, “Now many of our Christians have what I call the goo-goo syndrome—good government. They want everybody to vote. I don’t want everybody to vote. Elections are not won by a majority of people, they never have been from the beginning of our country and they are not now. As a matter of fact, our leverage in the elections quite candidly goes up as the voting populace goes down.”

The current GOP has become a party of one percent. They want to win at any cost just to promote the interest of their masters—a handful number of elitist clients. Yet, nearly fifty percent of the remaining Americans are touting “I love Romney.”

How stupid are these Americans? They are beyond stupid, aren’t they?
