Four Ways to Experience the #inaug2013 Through Social Media
Today President Obama gets sworn in for his second term (well, ceremonially at least).
Despite this being his second tour of duty, there's still something magical and captivating about the event.
It's star studded. Features Presidents of the past. Puts other high profile politicians on display. It brings people from all races, creeds, religions and backgrounds together. It's simply historic.
And, while most of us can't be on the National Mall today, there are other ways to which you can experience it through social media.
#inaug2013: You have to give Barack and his social media team some credit. Not only are they using digital marketing techniques to win the elections, but they are also using social media to engage with voters during this historic moment. Follow the #inaug2013 on Twitter (the official White House hashtag) to get real-time updates from people watching this event or even there in person. Twitter also is crowd-sourcing content through #inauguration.
Watch It Live: If you can't be in front of a TV, grab your computer, smartphone or tablet and watch it live.
Facebooking: There's nothing better than following an event as your friends, colleagues and family members are ranting on Facebook about what's going on. You know that both sides of the isle will be using Facebook to rant and rave about the President and his speech.
Insta-President: You KNOW people will be taking loads of pics while they are experiencing the Inauguration. So, head over the Instagram and check out what's happening visually.
